Smartstar Technology Ltd, the operator of the SmartJobs service, has created this Security Policy in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to security. The following discloses our security and accessibility policies.

User identification

At signup or when you are invited to join SmartJobs, you are asked to choose and enter a password. We do not store your password, instead your password is irreversibly hashed using the Bcrypt algorithm. This means that your password can never be sent to you by us, and it is not accessible to Smartstar Technology employees.

If you have forgotten your password, or your password is not working for some reason, you can re-establish your identity with the system as follows:

1. Go to https://smartjobs.io/password/reset/send-email
2. Enter your registered e-mail address and click “Send Password Reset Link”
3. Follow the instructions in the e-mail message that is sent to you

Data Access

SmartJobs services make use of all the necessary technical solutions and processes to ensure data security and the safe exchange of business information among users.

Only the members of a SmartJobs project can see and access its contents. Based on the data access rights determined by the SmartJobs account holder or any User he/she may designate, a user may not see some project data or be able to update some information.

Protection of information being transmitted

The SmartJobs service uses encryption technology integrated in your browser to ensure the safe transmission of your information and documents when logged into the system. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption with up to 128-bit key length encryption is used when exchanging information between your browser and our servers. Our SSL secured certificate is provided by Comodo Group Inc.

Server Platform Security

We have adopted appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices as well as software and physical security measures to protect us against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal data and account data. Our data centre, located in New Zealand also follows strict backup and security procedures.

Confidentiality

A collaborative platform is oriented towards information sharing. However, this does not mean that you want to allow external people to access your projects, or release information by mistake. We are highly committed to respect confidentiality rules.

• Your project data can only be seen by a project member
• Your project information is fully encrypted in transit using SSL protocol
• SmartJobs staff will not access your projects at any time unless requested by you

Integrity

We use the latest technology to secure data stored on our servers, and our staff are dedicated to constantly improve our security processes.

• Servers are backed up daily
• ICONZ Data Centre - Our servers are monitored 24/7 and are NZ hosted in a state of the art data centre in Auckland. The full facility is manned 24/7 by the Customer Care Team who manage customer access and escalate automated alert conditions for the facility, network and hosting platforms
• CCTV monitoring systems protect all lobby areas and entry points to the Data Centres. Access to the building is secured by an Electronic Access Control System; access to the Data Centre floors requires the use of an Electronic Key at all times. This provision extends to the entire building outside of normal business hours. A biometric security system provides a second layer of access control to the Data centres themselves. All security doors within ICONZ house are self-closing and auto-locking. Customer access to either Data Centre is by pre-approved photo access card only and is limited to the authorised rack. All visits are logged. Access can be immediately revoked by the account owner if required
